Hello, everybody! I finally had a decent day to take a few pictures. Yay! So today I've got some swatches from a new-to-me brand that's 5-free: Mint! I reached out to Mint in the hopes of finding some great non-toxic brands to share with you guys, and Greta was kind enough to send me some samples! The first color I tried, Fancy, was my least favorite in the bottle, but I actually ended up really liking it! Click through to see the rest of the swatches.
Swatches show two coats of Mint Fancy with some polka dots on the accent nail in Formula X by Sephora Reckless. I used a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top over Fancy prior to applying the polka dots. As per usual at this point, the first photo was taken in outdoor lighting (it was a bit cloudy, so it wasn't full sunshine), the second was taken in HD fluorescent lighting, and the third was taken in regular indoor incandescent lighting. Fancy is a lovely dove grey creme. When I saw this in the bottle, I honestly thought it looked boring. After applying the first coat to my thumb nail, though, I was really impressed. The formula was good, and it was nearly a one-coater. You might be able to get away with one if you're heavy-handed. If it had self-leveled a touch better, it would have been absolutely perfect. I'm honestly not sure what's going on with the line on my index nail in the photos; that's not visible at all in person. Would you rock grey nails?
